Article XIV Member Emergency Loan Program (MELP)

The purpose of the MELP is to provide emergency funds to members for any reason, to be repaid within 12 months without interest.  A maximum of $1,900 may be loaned to any member.  New loans may be made before borrowed funds are repaid as long as the amount outstanding to a member does not exceed $1,900.

Completed loan applications are to be submitted to the RWUFA Executive Committee for approval.  Action taken by the Executive Committee will be communicated to the loan applicant within 10 days.  The total amount of funds available for lending will be at the discretion of the Executive Committee.
